Broadside Illustration

For this poetry broadside, I created a hand-drawn illustration for “Owl” by Chard DeNiord using micron pens on cold press illustration board. The artwork was scanned and brought into InDesign, where I integrated the typography to complement the illustration. The final piece captures the owl as a spiritual guide and leader, echoing the poem’s imagery of the pipe-bearer and its sense of quiet wisdom.
